I took a photo of an ancient door, in the Shahi Fort in Lahore. The more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with the details in each aspect of it. My brain imagined this door, out of the ruins into a garden of flowers. Hence this painting was created, a fiction of my imagination inspired from the Mughal arts. The area of the Shahi Fort had buildings and structures on it since the 11th Century. However, under the Mughal Emperor Akbar The Great the Fort as we know it today was established in the 16th Century. It has mesmerising features within it like a Sheesh Mahal ( Mirror Palace) and under ground summer palaces.
